Snabb sammanfattning av vad jag tyckte

Under en semester i Bohuslän pratade jag om böcker med hyresvärdinnan till stugan vi bodde i. På plats finns nämligen en bokhylla där man kan byta sina lästa böcker mot andra böcker folk lämnat. Jag pratade uppskattande om detta initiativ med hyresvärdinnan och vi började prata böcker. Denna boken plockade hon ut ur hyllan och tyckte att jag måste läsa. Jag har skjutit upp det ett tag men nu har jag alltså läst den och jag gillade den väldigt mycket.

Den handlar om en kvinna som försöker bryta sig loss från de cementerade könsrollerna i New York på 50-talet. Men den handlar också om kärleksfulla familjer, goda vänner och kärlek. Man får ta del av Italiensk mat och även några recept, man får också ta del av mode, tyger och spännande design. Svek och sorg är också en del av denna kvinnas liv och vi får genomleva detta med henne. En riktigt mysig och trevlig bok som gav mig mer än vad jag trodde. Jag är mycket tacksam för rekommendationen av boken och för en härlig läsning av en bok som jag säkert annars hade missat.
