Det här var den bästa boken på länge. Jag blev helt uppslukad av Vis och hans liv.

Boken är full av detaljer och bygger upp en värld utan att det någonsin blir långtråkigt eller segt. Allt förstår jag inte riktigt till fullo, men det kan ju ändra sig i framtida böcker i serien.

Det är en bok för vuxna, men den är skriven på ett rätt lättillgängligt sätt och den handlar ju främst om ungdomar. Den har många delar som jag brukar uppskatta i böcker. Den handlar om ett föräldralöst barn/ungdom som fått anpassa sig till sig för att överleva, ett mysterium som behöver lösas, en exklusiv internatskola där något kanske inte riktigt står rätt till och där eleverna får kämpa sig uppåt och till sist en tävling på liv och död.

Det jag kanske reagerar på är Vis och att han kanske inte alltid uppfattas eller känns som en tonåring. Han tänker och fungerar ofta som en mycket äldre och mer erfaren person. Men så är det ju i många andra böcker som jag gillar. Hungerspelen (Suzanne Collins) är ett bra exempel på det.

Idag vill jag tipsa om fem unga vuxna eller ungdomsböcker/serier som jag tyckt mycket om att läsa och som jag verkligen tycker borde ha blivit översatta till svenska.

The Remnant Chronocles, Mary E. Pearson

En av mina absoluta favoritserier i Young Adultgenren. Fantasy, äventyr och romance i ett. Hur har denna inte blivit översatt till svenska??? Jag håller just nu på med ytterligare en omläsning av denna serien. Vissa böcker kan jag inte tröttna på att få läsa. The kiss of Deception, The Heart of Betrayal och The Beauty of Darkness är bra exempel på just det.

Truly Deviousserien, Mary E Pearson

De tre första böckerna i serien är de bästa och handlar om Stevie Bell som går på Ellingham Academy och skall försöka lösa ett mysterie som inträffat där för länge sedan. Efter de första tre originalböckerna, har det kommit ut ytterligare två böcker där Stevie Bell försöker lösa andra mysterier. Så hittills har det kommit ut 5 böcker i serien, men i år 2026 skall det komma ut ytterligare en. Jag tycker absolut de är värda att översättas till svenska.

Ja, egentligen är jag mest förtjust i första boken som jag tycker är riktigt bra. Bok två och tre har jag läst, men jag tycker inte de håller samma nivå, efter det har jag gett upp serien. Men första boken borde absolut översättas till svenska.

De här böckerna är kul, spännande och snabblästa och lätt värda att översättas till svenska.

By your side, Kasie West

Det finns en bok av Kasie West som är översatt till svenska, Sånger från hjärtat. Jag tycker fler kunde översättas då hennes böcker oftast är ganska gulliga och harmlösa och handlar om ungdomskärlek. I By your side råkar en tjej bli inlåst på Biblioteket över en helg och det visar sig att någon annan i samma ålder också är inlåst. De får under tiden de är inlåsta lära känna varandra och samarbeta vilket inte är helt friktionsfritt.

Denna månaden har jag LÄST ut tre böcker. Ja, jag har läst, inte lyssnat. Eller jo, jag har lyssnat också, men jag lyssnar på en lång bok och har inte kommit igenom den är, så de jag har kommit igenom har jag läst. Vad jag har njutit av att kunna sitta i lugn och ro och läsa. Nog för att två böcker är omläsningar, men jag älskar ju att läsa om favoriter.

Leva och låta dö, andra boken och agent 007, James Bond var lika full av fördomar och illa valda ord som bok ett. James Bond är ett svin och det var ingen bra bok alls.

Jag älskade både The Simple Wild och The Kiss of Deception även denna gång jag läste dem, så det var kul.
